An Evening for music lovers with music from the 50s, 60s and 70s

Zu diesem Kurs

Many of us who experienced the first appearance of bands like: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Shadows and Cliff Richard, The Mamas and the Papas, Peter Paul and Mary, The Association and solo artists like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens and of course Elvis Presley - just to mention a few - may also have experienced the change of type of popular music with the beginning of the 80s. The music of the Rock n' Roll and Folk Music era remains unique to this very day and a lot of us keep those songs in our hearts. Today's radio music seems to resort back to classic songs of those times - out of good reason. Many songs from the 50s to the 70s are just plain fun and enjoyment and certainly deserve to be heard over and over again.
We want to pick out 15 outstanding songs, hear about the stories behind these songs, analyze the lyrics and listen to them.
There is no specific knowledge or level of English required. With each song we will try to sing along if we like to. And who knows - you may get a new perspective on your favorite song, listen to some unknown songs to maybe cherish them ever after.
The evening should be fun for people who know those songs and for young folks who may be curious to learn more about their parents' idols.

As singing makes thirsty we'll provide some non-alcoholic drinks (water, juices and other alcohol free drinks).
Have fun and bring your friends along.
